Biography

Elaiza Pozzi (Montevideo, 1967) is a Uruguayan visual artist whose practice integrates painting, photography and installation. Her work investigates the forms of intelligence present in living systems and the transformations of the contemporary landscape, articulating field observation, archive and material processes from a perspective grounded in ecology, posthumanist thought and the new relations between nature and technology.

For more than two decades she has developed a sustained investigation in the Laguna Garzón, a territory that constitutes the core of her recent production.

She holds a degree in Communication and, after more than thirty years dedicated to creative direction, editorial production and the development of cultural projects, she now orients her practice towards contemporary artistic research and production.
